Hello Joyce,
I just wanted to update you on “Power”, aka “Thunder” in our barn and his
amazing progress. You probably saw all the media attention several months
ago, given for a local

pregnant girl, Jessie Davis, who was kidnapped and
killed by her police officer boyfriend. Jessie lived a mile from our home.
My daughter and I searched the local fields and woods for several days
before Equisearch arrived. After their arrival, Equisearch dispatched us
where needed and other local riders helped. On Friday of that week, a equine
search and rescue team from the Columbus area arrived and joined our
efforts. Unfortunately, Jessie was not to be found alive, but the outpouring
of concern from so many was uplifting. Thunder was wonderful. He took the
media in stride including pushy camera men, generators, crowds, and all the
racket involved in such a big effort. He navigated areas that he had never
seen before, and performed with other less behaved animals. When the team
from Columbus found out he was only 3 years old, they could not believe it.
We headed our own group with a radio constantly buzzing from one leader to
another. He was an awesome animal for any age. His youth is what made him
exceptional. He did what ever was asked of him. Thank you for breading such
a wonderful animal. You hear of people experiencing a “once in a life time
animal”. Well I found mine. Thank you again.
