Has anyone found a four-leaf clover yet? Maybe there’s one under all of this snow!!! Hope that St. Patrick’s Day will bring you lots of luck this year. Maybe by March 17^th the snow will be melted and we can find that four-leaf clover.

 

The 2008 MAPLE CREST DRILL TEAM’s first practice is Sunday, March 2^nd … There’s still time to join in all the fun. Our first meeting is being held in the “upper room”. No horses—be prepared to do a walk-through inside the barn after the meeting. Can’t make the first meeting??? We’ll be meeting every Sunday at 2 p.m., so just give us a call to let us know that you want to join our awesome drill team.

 

Congratulations to Nancy Banks on the purchase of Eagle’s Enchanted Iron Man (Trigger) from Bob Emrich!

 

Spring’s just around the corner (believe it or not the horses are starting to shed their winter coats) and we’ve already been getting calls asking  about activities offered at Maple Crest Farms—riding lessons, trail rides, birthday parties, etc. We have farm brochures and postcard-sized advertisements of these offerings, so please feel free to pick some up at the house or in the office. Check our website (www.twhorses.com) for information on upcoming dates and events. Please remember to email any pictures that you have for the Maple Crest Farms website.

*Sunday, March 30^th a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit is being held from noon to 4 p.m. at the American Legion, 2000 Buckland Ave., Fremont, OH for Bob Emrich. There will be entertainment, including a DJ, an auctioneer, face painting for the children, among other activities—all to raise funds for Bob’s medical bills. Call Sara Michaels (419-355-9813) for directions. Let her know if you can help set up that morning at 10 a.m. She needs our help!  

 

Our sympathy goes out to Sherrie and Paul Szucs on the passing of Sherrie’s father, Ted Bilger, “Apple Feeder Supreme” and previous owner of Genius Boy Pride. He will be greatly missed, both by his two-legged and four-legged friends.
