Beautiful fall day! Sweatshirt or insulated vest temperature! Sun shining! Woodland trail, group of friends, my favorite horse, and all day to ride!  YeeHa!!!

It’s the Mid-Ohio Walking Horse Association trail ride at Malabar Farms, Mansfield, Ohio. A gorgeous day and good friends to share it with. Approximately 20 riders joined together to share this ride and as always to promote the Tennessee Walking horse to anyone we meet. The trail winds through rural farmland, forests of maple trees where the sap is collected to make syrup, past large rock outcroppings, open glades to Mt. Jeez—the highest promitory in the area allowing for views of distant lakes, forests, farms, etc… This group of riders like to race to the top of this long, steep hill. You’ll hear squeals of laughter, shouts of encouragement to riders and horses alike to be the first to reach the top and teasing to those who choose not to race whatever their reasoning of the moment. The hillside is steep, the effort great, so when the crest is reached the horses get to rest and breathe while the riders look with awe at the views, which are only limited by your particular level of eye sight.

When riding away from the top a person feels they may have missed or lost a view but Malabar Farm has many varieties and levels of challenge in its trails, thus a new event and enjoyment is soon accepted.

We ride our horses! We enjoy the fellowship of friends! We appreciate the wonders of nature! We create memories! How better can we spend our day?

Thanks to Mid-Ohio Walking Horse Association for promoting this event for us to share.

Thanks to the Tennessee Walking Horse for bringing such excellence into our walk in life, our dream to share.
