Are you hot enough? Summer is finally here! Maple Crest Farms has been busy with riding activities and lots of fun things to do.  We’ve had visits from people as far away as Texas and California, and have had birthday party celebrations – individual and group riding lessons – and the start of trail riding season!!! Farm brochures and postcard-sized advertisements of these offerings are available for you to use, so please feel free to pick some up at the house or in the office. There will be Tuesday morning trail rides to Edison Woods (weather permitting). If Tuesdays won’t work in your schedule, please let us know when you can go, and we’ll try to accommodate your needs.

“2008” cowboys and cowgirls will be busy learning about safety with horses, how to properly groom and lead horses, and the basics of learning how to saddle, bridle and ride. In addition, they will also have games, horse-related craft projects, and visits from special guests during the week-long instruction.

 Friday culminates with a horse show and family cook-out.

July 16^th – Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene Block Party, 6-8 p.m.

(formerly the IAB Club). This party is for the intercity youth of Sandusky, and will give them the opportunity to touch, groom, and pet horses. Terrance Moyer will be doing a short breed demonstration, and then there will be activities for the children to enjoy, such as riding mop ponies in contesting events. We could use volunteers to help with this party. Anyone have ribbons they want to donate? We could use those to give out as awards. A brief devotional by Joyce will be given at the conclusion.
