Happy New Years
from Maple Crest Farms!!!
WOW---where
to begin: If you were here for our annual Christmas potluck, you experienced
such a wonderful spirit of sharing and if you missed it I can't describe the
feelings of friendship, fun and fellowship. We are truly blessed with such a
wonderful farm family. Terry and I counted after everyone shared and
counted around the "circle of prayer" and then with those that were
able to join as the evening progressed.....close to 60 in all!!!! The
decorations, specially created by many individuals (Margaret and Phil's wedding
votives) created the ambiance of elegance; along with Lisa's and Cindy and
Maria's special touches. The decorations were definitely a joint effort
by many and it was superb. We had a five star rating I am sure! We
celebrated Lisa Andres 50th Birthday
(actually Sunday, Dec. 13th) singing, cake, presents, cards, such a special
moment and memory in time. I am absolutely awed by all of the special
moments of the "we have been here since the beginning - to we have just
joined" individuals.
As I
started this out....WOW.....you
ough to be there!!!!!! (Get ready Drill Team) it is coming. (March)
January
16th is the
Income Tax Seminar and feel free to call and discuss any special concerns for
this year's taxes while you can still change some of the circumstances. 9 a.m.
to 12 noon as usual with a potluck to follow.
Even
though it’s cold and wintery outside, the barn is a great place to ride your
horses. Remember—your horses still love to have attention in this cold weather,
even if it’s just to bring them inside to brush them! You might want to dress
in layers. You’d be surprised how quickly you warm up once you’re on the back
of a horse. Stop by and love the babies, too. They can always use a quick hug
and love the attention. If you don’t have time to exercise your horses, and
would like to hire Chris Scherz for the task, please contact him at 419-684-9614.
He’s especially good working babies, and does great roundpenning work with
horses of all ages.
