Terry and I attended the TWHBEA Breeders meeting November 29-Dec. 1st in Tennessee. As a result of the elections, I am now serving as the Vice President for Marketing for TWHBEA.  At the dinner meeting on Dec. 1st, in front of 300+ members, I was given the award for Pleasure Horse Ambassador of the Year. It came as a complete surprise to both Terry and me.  What an honor and privilege to be given this award for something that I love to do talk about our wonderful, naturally gaited pleasure horses.  Great things are going to be happening in 2008 and Maple Crest Farms will be a part of these happenings.

Dont forget!! Tax season is coming. 1099 information needs to come to me as soon as possible, as they need to be mailed out by Jan. 31st. Anyone paying $600 or more in their trade or business needs to issue a 1099.  If you need any help with this, please come to the Tax Seminar offered at Maple Crest Farms on Saturday, Jan. 19th from 9:00 A.M. until Noon (potluck to follow).  Its a great learning experience for anyone, and the foods not bad, either.   The cost is $100.00 to first time attendees and $25.00 for those returning.

Westview Veterinary Hospital, Inc. is sponsoring the 7th Annual Equine Affair on January 10th 6:00 P.M. at Ole Zims Wagon Shed, Gibsonburg, OH.  After dinner (6:30), the topic of discussion is Preventative Medicine: New Concepts to an Old Idea.  For more information, or to make reservations, email wvh@ohpetcenter.com, or call 419-332-5871. We will be carpooling.
