Does this bring back good
memories of last year’s Maple Crest Drill Team?
Well, once again it’s time to put on the woolies and come out to
Maple Crest Farms for our first walk-through for the 2008 Maple Crest
Drill Team. Be ready to
meet with Joyce, Terry and Dave Munson (our designer) on Sunday, March 2nd,
in the “upper room”. No horses first time—be prepared to do a
walk-through. (Remember the snowstorm???)
Do you know any
youth interested in joining 4H?
The Blazing Saddles 4H Club will be meeting at Maple Crest Farms for the
first time this year on Sunday, Feb. 17th at 2 p.m.
Spread the word to any youth you think might be interested in
learning more about 4H.
Congratulations to
all the MOWHA Awards recipients--Terry
and Joyce Moyer, Margaret and Angela Barbour, Paul & Jana Hebner, and
Anne Naugle, who represented Maple Crest Farms. Maple Crest Farms did a
clean sweep on the promotion awards: Valor took Champion Promotion and
Weanling; Sierra Hawk took Reserve Champion Yearling and 3rd
place Promotion; Cassie took 1st place Promotion and 4th
place Yearling; Ginger took Reserves in Youth Versatility and Game and
Contest; and Sugarfoot took 4th place in Promotion.
Angela took 4th place
in Equitation and Showmanship. Terry,
Joyce, Angela, Margaret and Anne all received trail riding awards.
Spring’s just
around the corner and we’ve already been getting calls asking
about activities offered at Maple Crest Farms—riding lessons,
trail rides, birthday parties, etc. We have farm brochures and
postcard-sized advertisements of these offerings, so please feel free to
pick some up at the house or in the office.
